Your journey begins in Delhi, where vibrant city life meets serene exploration. Upon arrival, take some time to acclimate, perhaps with a quiet stroll through the streets or by unwinding at your boutique hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Today, a short 50 km drive takes you to Sultanpur Lake, a haven for over 250 species of birds. The lake’s marshes attract migratory species like the Siberian Crane and Northern Shoveler during winter, while resident birds such as the Painted Stork and Indian Roller can be seen year-round. Sultanpur’s diverse habitats make it a prime spot for photography and birdwatching. After a rewarding day, return to Delhi for a relaxing evening at your hotel.

An early morning flight to Guwahati sets the tone for an adventurous day. From Guwahati, embark on a scenic 200 km drive (about 4.5 hours) through Assam’s lush landscapes to Nameri National Park, located at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. Upon arrival, settle into the camp, surrounded by nature. Nameri is a birding haven with over 300 species, including the rare White- winged Duck and the majestic Great Hornbill. As the sun sets, the sounds of the jungle will lull you to sleep. Overnight stay at Nameri National Park.

Dedicate the day to exploring Nameri National Park with morning and afternoon safaris. The park’s riverine landscape and dense forests are ideal for spotting a variety of birds and animals.

An early start sees you on a 140 km drive (about 6.5 hours) to Tawang, passing through the dramatic Sela Pass at 4,170 meters, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Enjoy stunning panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and frozen lakes. Keep an eye out for high- altitude species like the Himalayan Monal, Blood Pheasant, and Grandala. The return journey to Dirang, covering the same 140 km (about 6.5 hours) via Sela Pass, offers another opportunity to appreciate the rugged beauty of the Eastern Himalayas. The morning offers more birding opportunities around Lama Camp before a short 20 km drive (about 1 hour) takes you to Bompu Camp. Bompu is another excellent base for exploring Eaglenest, with access to different habitats and bird species. Spend the afternoon exploring the surrounding forests, searching for the Golden-naped Finch, Red-headed Trogon, or Yellow- rumped Honeyguide. Dedicate two full days to birding around Bompu Camp, allowing for a comprehensive exploration of Eaglenest’s diverse habitats. Discover species such as the Fire-tailed Myzornis, Cutia, and Beautiful Sibia, and admire the area’s orchid diversity along the trails. These days are dedicated to game viewing in Kaziranga National Park, famous for its population of the Greater One-horned Rhinoceros.
